Club of the Year winners 2025!
With $10,000 dollars handed out in prize money, clubs at Massey are celebrating their wins this year and filling their wallets for next year.
Te Tira Ahu Pae, which funds clubs at Massey, just recently hit 100 clubs. With this milestone came prize money ranging from $150 to $500, some clubs winning multiple categories to fill their piggy bank.
“Prize money goes back into helping clubs operate, running events and purchasing equipment and assets needed to operate,” said clubs and events lead Ryan Olivier.
And with over 340 nominations, students truly care a lot about their clubs and community. The Alpine Club in Palmy and Indian Association in Auckland are killing it, both placing in multiple categories.
“The students who lead their clubs do it because they are passionate about their hobbies and supporting their communities,” Olivier said.
“The humblest club leaders tend to be the students who do the most, so they need their members to be a little loud for them.”
Olivier sees clubs as a foundation for student experience. “Every single person who stepped up this year and took on leadership within the club space deserves praise regardless of if they won or not.”
