MUSA presidental address

Tēnā koutou wonderful students.

How are you? It’s been a while since we last spoke. This month I feel as though I’ve been shut away in my office most of the time barely seeing you, the students, who are the exact people I’m meant to be representing. Realising this, I thought it well worth my time to go and sit on the concourse and ask students what their problems are…

And, to be honest, it seems like there aren’t too many! There are a few here and there that I have begun addressing - one being the lack of decent food options and the high prices a lot of them come at. So I thought to myself, “I like cooking, why not make a ton of homemade meals, put them in a freezer on campus, and ask for a few dollars to cover the cost of ingredients?” So that’s what I’m looking at doing. What do you think?

I’m all about social improvement. Fix what doesn’t work or improve what does; the more things I get given to focus on, the more positive change I can push for. Think of me as a means for you to make the changes you want to see happen. I’m starved for ideas at the moment so if you have something, anything, email me at president@musa.org.nz or just come to my office 2.20 up the stairs between the MUSA lounge and MUSA shop!

Stay safe, be well and don’t forget to get your (heavily subsidised) flu vaccination!
