Cooked: Cheeseburger Mac + Cheese

Because who doesn’t love combining two of their favourite comfort meals into one hot, gluttonous feast? 


  • 500g macaroni
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil (or as needed depending on the leanness of your beef)
  • 500g mince
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (or 1 teaspoon onion powder)
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)
  • 30 ml tomato sauce
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2-3 cups shredded cheddar cheese , depending on your preferred cheesiness
  • minced parsley for topping , optional


  1. Cook macaroni al dente, drain, then set aside.
  2. Heat large pan on medium-high heat. Add oil and then add mince (won’t need oil if you brought cheap prime mince).
  3. Brown mince, then add onions and garli. Cook until onions and garlic are softened. Drain any excess fat if needed (again, dat cheap prime mince).
  4. Add tomato sauce, milk, salt, pepper and sugar. Bring mince to a low simmer for about 3 minutes for all the flavors to combine. Taste the sauce and add any additional seasonings if needed.
  5. Fold in the pasta and then add the cheese a little at a time until everything combines and cheese melts. Add additional cheese on top if you want and minced parsley.
  6. Serve warm.
