Kia ora koutou,
Congratulations to all our students working hard in clubs, classes, and around campus to make Massey a better place. In the College of Science, students stood up to make their voices heard and now the College has started to listen. Thanks to those students writing submissions and petitions, attending forums, and asking the hard questions we managed to save the Microbiology major, Computer Science courses in the Manawatu, and much more. But there is still a long way to go for our Earth Science students who are facing a merged major, and the continuing direction of cutting staff to reduce costs.
The MUSA is team is also continuing to work hard. We recently distributed flatting packs to 200 student flats to help improve renting life and put forward at the AGM a proposal for an International Officer; an international student who will be elected to represent and support our valuable international community.
The most important thing though is you. All this progress has been suggested, pushed for, and achieved by students. Whether you have concerns, want to see something improved, or are just looking for a chat please come and see us up at MUSA any time.
All the best,
